What is Jitsu?
Jitsu is a Japanese Martial Art which specialises in self-defense through the use of various joint locks, throws, holds and submission techniques.
The particular style we teach, derived from Shorinji Kan Jiu Jitsu, focuses mainly on throwing an attacker using their own energy and momentum, but there is also a large body of knowledge concerned with joint-locking and restraining, vital-point striking, as well as groundwork. Because our techniques require considerably more skill than strength, men, women and children of any size can learn to become very good at it.
The best way to answer the question though, is to come and give it a try.
